This is a zoom meeting to prepare for our meeting with Dr. Katz (it was initially scheduld for Aug 28th at 3pm, but may now be postponed)

You might have gotten an invitation (and subsequent postponement) for a meeting with Dr. Katz in your work email, looking something like this:

This is the result of our letter -- which nearly 120 Social Workers from around Health+Hospitals signed -- to Dr. Katz regarding our experiences throughout the pandemic. We gave ourselves a cut-off, and finally sent him the letter in early August.

Our two requests for him were:

• Central Office develop and mandate the adoption of best practices for all areas Social Work practice, in ordinary times as well as in crisis.

• Central Office commit to regular meetings with our union, DC37/Local 768, to review these best practices and facilitate resolution when practices are breached.

If you have a chance, please review the letter and report ahead of time. One additional example we may want to include (besides what's listed in our report) is our experience during the re-opening of in-person outpatient services in June.
